Davos

ORT's work in Davos started in 1947. In the sanatorium for former TB patients ORT set up a training workshop for dressmaking, leather work and weaving. Students from Davos also participated in a course for typewriter repair organised by ORT together with a typewriter repair company 'Olivetti'. In March 1948 a course in technical drawing was set up in the sanatorium. Thirty-eight students were enrolled in a course which consisted of twenty to twenty-four hours a week of subjects such as algebra, arithmetic and trigonometry.
