Along with almost all of Lower Silesia, Wroclaw became after the Second World War part of Poland and an important site of post-war Jewish settlement.  As of May 1948 ORT trained in Wroclaw 182 students. The courses included: needle trades (dressmaking, underwear making, corset making), electro technology, leatherwork, watch making, carpentry and metal work.
